MEN'S DANCE
In Men’s Dance, students will learn and explore the elements of dance
(body, space, time, energy) through creative movement. They will learn proper technique and
injury prevention through strength conditioning. Through instruction, students will practice
improvisation, improve technique, learn choreographic strategies, gain strength, and increase
flexibility. Students will also have the opportunity to choreograph, perform, and grow as dancers.
During the semester we will emphasize the use of creativity, self expression, performance,
confidence, partnering, and teamwork. Students will create and perform a dance in the winter or
spring concert.
